I’m Luis, 14 years old, from the Bernese Oberland, and totally hooked on freeskiing.

Winter sports have always been a part of my life. I grew up in Schönried, right next to the slopes, and have spent almost every free minute on the snow.

I discovered freeskiing when I was ten and was instantly stoked. After four years with the BOSV Freeski Squad in the regional training center (RLZ), I’ll take the next big step this summer.

Starting in August 2026, I’ll move to the national training center (NLZ) and begin Gymnasium at the Sportmittelschule Engelberg, an official Swiss Olympic Sports School.

Alongside that, I’ve been selected again for the Swiss-Ski Junior Program and accepted into the Bridge Weeks, a national development program for high-potential athletes.

Next season, I’ll also move up to the U18 category, which means new challenges on every level — athletically, academically, and personally.

I’m highly motivated and give everything in every training session and every competition. My goals are clear, and I always keep the bigger picture in mind.

One day, I want to earn an invitation to the X-Games. It’s a big dream — but I’m ready to work for it and keep pushing my boundaries.

The journey has already started.
